AmericaxReader - A cold winter

It was yet another day in the long winter, you just wanted it to all end. You lived alone in a small house just outside of New York.
Winter got really cold for you, you had no heating, so you would just spend most of the day scrambling trying to get warm.
You had just noticed that you ran out of firewood. Now this was bad, because fire was your best source of keeping warm.
You waited for sunrise to go to the city. You opened the door to see that the scenery was covered in a blanket of snow.
As you walked out of your house, a voice greeted you from behind causing you to jump.

"Hello!" You turned around to see who it was, it was a man much taller than you, had blonde hair, glistening blue eyes, and
had a happy smile on his face.

"U-Uh, hello.." You replied back just to see what he wanted. He looked at you, examining the state you were in, you were cold.
"Can I ask where you are going?" Was he serious? You never met him before, and he hasn't even introduced himself.
"Oh! I forgot! I'm Alfred~" He smiled, you locked the door behind you and turned back to him.
"I'm (Name), nice to meet you. And i'm going to go get more firewood, i've run out." You smiled back.
He stuck his hand out, "Let me take you to get some!" He laughed a bit. You stared, you barely met him. But he didn't look like he'd do any
harm, so you nodded shyly and took his hand. They felt warm.

You both arrived at the city and you both were still hand in hand. The people around you started staring and whispering, "Oh how cute is that couple?"
You over heard them and blushed, Alfred turned around and saw your blushing face and smiled. "You're cute!"
Well, that was sudden. "W-What? No I am not! Can we just focus on getting firewood?" He laughed and gave you a quick 'ok' and continued walking, still holding your hand.
When you both got to the store that sells firewood, everything was gone. "I'm sorry, but we're out, I guess it's a cold winter this year." the clerk said.
'W-What? No firewood? How can this be? Why?' You thought to yourself. Alfred looked at you weird, "Uhm (Name), are you okay?" he says as he waves his other
hand in front of you. "There's no more wood?" You asked. "I'm afraid not." How were you supposed to survive the winter like this? It would take at least a few weeks
for the shop to regain stock. You walked out of the shop, pulling Alfred with you. "How will I keep warm?" You just felt doomed, then quickly Alfred hugged you.
"Like this~" You felt your cheeks heating up. "A-Alfred..." He held you close, it took a while, but you barely knew this guy! Without thinking, you stomped on his foot.
"O-Oww! What was that for?!" You walked home, but Alfred kept his hold on your hand. You tried shaking it off a couple times earlier, but he wouldn't let go.
You stopped walking. "(Name)?" You couldn't live in your home, you would just freeze to death, your family lived to far to travel to them, you had no where to go.
"Look, can you leave me alone? I barely know you, and i'm already having problems of my own." You wanted to be alone to think this over.

"Oh! Is it about the firewood thing? Look, if you need somewhere to stay, you can stay with me! Doesn't matter if you barely know me, because we can get to
know each other if we spend more time together!" He smiled. Was he actually willing to do this?
"O-Oh... Thank you!" You smiled back, hugging him.
